in thread Is there a way to reduce Data::Dumper's output size?

there's no reason to pick Storable over Sereal.

One reason: Sereal doesn't build on windows.

ActiveState's ActivePerl 5.16 (and earlier) is available only with their Business and Enterprise Editions (i.e., it is no longer freely available for download from their website).

I'm currently using 5.18 so Sereal is unavailable (ditto for 5.20). Sigh.

Searched for donut and crumpit. Found donate and stumbit instead.
