I've been writing software for a long time. Started with Fortran IV with punch cards. Yeah, I'm that old. Other languages along the way are BASIC, C, C++, JAVA; Borne, C, and BASH shells s‎crip‎t; AWK, SQL, PL/SQL. I was working for the U.S. Navy when the Obama administration cut funding to defense, so I lost my job. I now work as a REALTORŪ in southwest Florida. I still like to code for myself and I run a couple of Rocky Linux boxes and a requisite Windows box for the stuff that just runs better on Windoze. I used to troubleshoot and bug report for Fedora, but switched to Rocky because of the aggressive update schedule of Fedora. I never learned Perl along the way, and there is a project I would like to help on, so here I am learning from the community.
