Intrepid has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi Monks,

Quick question, and dumb: are we supposed to be able to reach CPAN authors by emailing to AUTHOR@cpan.ORG? I tried it on myself an hour ago and there's no message in my inbox.

I'm trying to reach MICHIELB (Michiel Beijen) about test warnings in his module File::MimeInfo

    The author's page shows a different e-mail address.

    Also, it's cute to know it took you 6 minutes to write the text, but maybe we don't need so much information. I mean, there's a timestamp attached to each node already.

    map{substr$_->[0],$_->[1]||0,1}[\*||{},3],[[]],[ref qr-1,-,-1],[{}],[sub{}^*ARGV,3]

      LOL, and then LOL again. Thanks for pointing out the email address which I would have noticed had I not been in a hurry and distracted. Still, as a general rule (it seems like I remember this from ages ago) – was there ever a mechanism in place to forward ANAUTHOR@cpan.org to a "private" email address (one that's not spammer-bait)?

      And yes, my timestamps may be a little redundant :-)
