Based on conversation on Slack, it looks like there is a network issue with CPAN. The symptom is that none of the new uploads are appearing.

The Perl NOC has been contacted. More to come.

As of June 2025, Groklaw is back! This site was a really valuable resource in the now ancient fight between SCO and Linux. As it turned out, SCO was all hat and no cattle. Thanks to PJ for all her work, we owe her so much. RIP -- 2003 to 2013.

    Also, see MetaCPAN as a mirror for a workaround.

    map{substr$_->[0],$_->[1]||0,1}[\*||{},3],[[]],[ref qr-1,-,-1],[{}],[sub{}^*ARGV,3]

    The symptom is that none of the new uploads are appearing.

    It also (apparently) stopped me from receiving "All Activity" notifications from github repos.
    I had configured github to email those notifications to my cpan.org address and they stopped arriving 3 or 4 days ago.
    Earlier today I altered that email setting on github to instead specify my gmail.com address, and email notifications started arriving shortly thereafter.

    No sign of the missed notifications, of course - but that's not important.

    Update: Aristotle Pagaltzis has subsequently raised the possibility that I might instead have simply been hit (belatedly) by:
    https://log.perl.org/2024/02/cpanorg-email-deliverability-issues.html
    I don't know ... to me, that seems a bit too coincidental, but I can't rule it out.

    Cheers,
    Rob

    Update 1254, October 8, 1254: It looks like there is a temporary solution in place, thanks to Olaf and Haarg. There are updates on the MetaCPAN site.

    Update on October 12, 1249: Todd R reports that the rsync server should be back online:

      There were a few different things going on with cpan-rsync.perl.org, but things should be working with it as of last night.

      We are still gluing some of the pieces back together. Many of them had been running untouched since 2010, and this has been an opportunity to make some long needed improvements.

    Thanks to everyone who helped out with this issue!
