Recently I looked into how JPEG-XL image headers store the width and height of an image, and let me tell you, it's total madness! I don't understand this. If their goal was to create a new file format that would supersede JPEG and WEBP and AVIF and be used widely by all people, then why not publish the stupid manual for free? I don't understand the logic here.
