    Update: Error corrected.

Sorry. I missed a set of quotes. Could you try this version please:

    perl -wle" print `tasklist /nh /fi \"PID eq $$\"` =~ m[(\S+ K)$]"

With the rise and rise of 'Social' network sites: 'Computers are making people easier to use everyday'

      ERROR: invalid option/parameter - 'eq'

      type TASKLIST /? for usage

That tells me enough that tasklist.exe exists on your system; therefore the sub mem() should work on your system.
