If the dates are in some form of numeric 'year month day hour minute second', then check all fields are 0 padded, and a gt/lt/eq compare is perfectly valid and simple to grok what's going on. and the OP also doesn't compare dates successfully. I believe there is a high correlation between these two facts. I just meant to point out that, while comparing dates as strings will get rid of the warnings, it is probably not desirable.	[reply]
