Who is "they"? All users, some users, or just the spammers? A single proxy or several?

"they" being the one whom post the spam... : So, according to your long and elaborate answer, we know that the spammers use one or more proxies, and the users don't. That's actually great news. Block the proxy/proxies and the spammers are gone. A simple IP-based blacklist should be sufficient.
