I want to learn perl for system admin only that is no advanced perl and wanted good ref books to learn which can prepare me for certain system admin examinations.or certifications.....kindly recommend such exams for undergraduate level....So kindly help to find such books...i appreciate the time taken to read n answer ...thnks in advance...

    I would look at Data Munging with Perl by davorg. As his blog post says, the module recommendations might be a bit dated, but general ability to transform text files from one format to another is important.

    Take a look at O'Reilly Perl Books. There's a selection covering different aspects of system administration (networking, database, web and so on). You weren't specific about what you were after but I expect you'll find some titles suitable for your needs.
