    Funny .. perlbrew has no mention of that. Perhaps you should have specified where it was documented first. Turns out ... that wasn't very well documented and what you present is a hack that is not mentioned at the perlbrew docs.

      So you looked how to configure cpan/cpanm/cpanp in perlbrew docs, didn't find anything, then proclaimed something as not possible, and I'm the troll?

        That's right. The discussion was Perlbrew. You deliberately withheld information ... that is what makes you the troll.

        Additionally, the code you posted still requires a lot of work to understand, you are obtuse and vague when you have no reason to be. Unless you just hate jeffa. Now things make sense.
