I took your juxtaposition of the money amounts of the grants given to the people you listed with

when I am able to raise a fraction of that from the good will of the Perl community

as a complaint that you don't get as much money as they do.

But I've seen that you have applied for TPF grants, in addition to your kickstarter efforts. Your applications, if granted, bring you into batting range of the numbers you already cited so the point is moot of how the other people are able to raise such amounts and you aren't.

No, I try my best not to complain, I was defending myself from Anonymous Monk who claimed I was after a "fat war chest".

My TPF grant request dollar amounts are comparatively tiny, as a continued effort to show my dedication to the Perl community by continuing to work at-or-below the cost of living in Texas.

I strongly reject any claims that I am somehow profiteering from the situation, because for the past several years I have been unable to regularly buy groceries or pay the bills without help from my friends and family.

They say "A" when the truth is actually "not A".

    Don't believe the disinformation.
