LanX has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi

I'm doing my first steps with cpan mini, and both runs to mirror a cpan server of uni Vienna failed at the same module.

So I suppose some sites block after a certain download quota.

Could someone recommend a server he used in the past?

(Didn't do much reading yet, have to finish the download till I return my laptop beyond the firewall tomorrow)

Cheers Rolf

I don't think it's a bandwidth problem, universities are well connected.

Switched to another server and it runs fine (for the moment)

Probably the tar.gz of the module Shatterproof at Vienna university is broken.
