Perl6 global regex matching

Sathishkumar has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi All, I need help of Perl6 regex matching. Please find my below Perl6 code. I unable to find global match in the string.


my $line = 'abCdes123';
$line ~~ s:P5:i:g/abc/124/;
say $line;
while ($line ~~ m :P5:g/^\d{2,3}/)
{
    my $value = "$/";
    say $value;
    say get();
}

There's not much use in doing a global regex match with an anchored regex. Furthermore, a global regex match returns a list of matches, so use a `for`-loop to iterate over them: `use v6; my $line = '124des123'; for $line ~~ m:g/ \d ** 2..3 / -> $match { say ~$match; }` [download] Output: `124 123` [download] Perl 6 - the future is here, just unevenly distributed	[reply] [d/l] [select]
