So maybe your webserver does not like a HTTP status line written from your script. Have you consulted the web server documentation as to what it wants CGI scripts to output?

Maybe you can leave that line out, or change it to output the following instead:

Status: 200

This will likely be documented in your web server documentation.

    oooh, clever eagleeye :D -nph option forces full set of headers, if thats a problem, omit -nph line .... webservers are WEIRD
      i think -nph line was the problem when i commented that it has no errors..but instead playing the video it is prompting a dialog to save the that file.
        UPDATE: I commented the -attachment line..
        -attachment => $attachment,
        Now i can able to play the video.
