Python, JS FW are more rising than Php.
But Perl6 may change things a little bit with OO, types... and a new interest to programming.
Of course .NET comes to mono, not a good "affaire" for us.

On intranet, classic Perl CGI scripts are quick (+- 500 ms), there is no need of fast cgi...

What are your needs to switch to fast cgi?
