How do I use CatalystX::REPL with current version Catalyst?

aufflick has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

The instructions in CatalystX::REPL don't work with current Catalyst, you have to configure in the use statement, not later on. Or is there a different way that people fire up Devel::REPL or similar with Catalyst these days?
