That agenda is clearly seen here: kill off Perl 5 and hope Perl 6 takes off. Throw the baby out with the bath water by trying to keep up with the Jones' when Perl 5 defined what a dynamic scripting language SHOULD be.

Perl 6 was built to kill off Perl 5 from the start. "Oh .... we don't want to kill off Perl 5. Here, now YOUR logo is an extinct animal, Perl 5. But it is just a coincidence!"

You know, all medication jokes aside, if you can make terrible, badly acted, nearly unwatchable movie after terrible, badly acted, nearly unwatchable movie and still make box office bank MERELY through the inclusion of dinosaurs… I mean I guess I see it your way now. It's not a smart marketing move; the subtext is clear. They are out to get Perl5. And the only appropriate response is drones and feet on the ground! Larry should be the first up against the wall!
