What platform are you on? I suspect that this is one of those platform-dependant things. Mine didn't work on Control-C, even when I cut'n'pasted your code. *shrugs*

Many aspects of Perl do not work as advertised on Windows. Signals is one of the biggies. See ActivePerl FAQ => Windows Specific => Quirks for all the gory details. HTH, Ian	[reply]
