I had a job interview the other day were the question was postedL "how do you use Perl to see the efficiency of an Oracle table index" Is this possible?

You can query the Dynamic Performance Views See "Performance Tuning", here: http://docs.oracle.com/en/database/database.html Any SQL there can be run by DBI as well (and often better/easier than in SQL*plus and similar)	[reply]

You might also use one of the CPAN benchmark modules.	[reply]
