possibly a reference to a false friend: english "poison" = german "Gift"	[reply]

soonix got it right: The word "gift" sounds and looks exactly the same in English and in German. But in German, it means "poison"! And Customs has the tendency to ask things like "Did you bring a gift for your family?" :-)	[reply]
