In Spanish, there isn't a specific name for the tilde (~). The closest is "Virgulilla", but that name can refer to several writing marks and anyway it is quite unknown.

So, people have invented other names for that key/symbol. My preferred one is "gurruņito", meaning literally, something small and wrinkled.
