Those URL's do not look encrypted, and "URL of the UUID" does not make sense.

Those look like regular URL's where one of the passed parameters happens to be named "uuid", and have a value similar to a uuid.

It is possible that the website does not want you to access the page directly via a regular URL - instead, you request it using the UUID parameter, and the web server fetches the associated page for you.

Just like this website, that other website uses a single parameter to determine which page to show you. Perlmonks uses a simple number, and that website seems to use a longer string. The simple approach is to ignore the value of the string as it might just be a random string given to a document.

    opaque identifier:

An opaque identifier is simply one without any trace of embedded meaning

Not stating my agreement with either camp that is mentioned, just a link to more info.
