    Hi Hippo...got your point..but to enforce public key cryptography could you pls suggest me something..or any other workaround to make this data extract more secure...thanks in advance.

      Look at my previous example where I have disabled neither certificate validation nor hostname validation and have successfully connected.

        we tried this method to get IO::Socket::SSL installed/updated but it's difficult. had to create a custom install of openssl struggling to get Net::SSLeay installed
