That is a bug in the UI which I'm sure I introduced, and relatively recently. Thank you for the report.

FYI, there is no policy against voting on nodes in those old, "closed" sections, nor even on commenting in them. Only new root-level posts have been disabled.

I reckon we are the only monastery ever to have a dungeon stuffed with 16,000 zombies.

ah! so was no implicit. It seems worth to specify it (or link to your reply) into the Snippets Section and Code Catacombs deprecated for new posting thread.
