If you want to write an Excel file that contains protected worksheets, then take a look at the Excel::Writer::XLSX module. It has a protect method that can be used to password protect a worksheet.

Hello there I am looking opening excel file(.xlsx or .xls) it should ask the password to open and view the excel file .Is it possible in perl script ?	[reply]

Yes, of course. That's what the password field of Spreadsheet::ParseXLSX->new is for.	[reply]
