Re: Before electricity was invented, what was the Electric Eel called?

In Dutch it is called "sidderaal", which reflects pretty much what is heppening without mentioning how or why it happens. Literally translated: tremble-eal or shake-eal.

In Dutch it is called "sidderaal" In German: "Zitteraal", same translation, same idea: touch it and it will shake you. Alexander -- Today I will gladly share my knowledge and experience, for there are no sweeter words than "I told you so". ;-)	[reply]
