Does Excel binary hold "old" information?

emp1953 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I have a script that uses CPAN's Spreadsheet::ParseExcel It parses the spreadsheet just fine except that it parses a worksheet that was deleted from the workbook. At one time the workbook contained 3 worksheets. The third was deleted years ago but the script still finds the 3rd worksheet which is blank, but this is annoying. Thanks for any help

Looks like an Excel problem, not a Perl problem. Excel forum may have suggestions to make sure deleted stuff is actually deleted instead of just disconnected. Perhaps physically moving the file on the drive? Saving in different formats? But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
