I lurked for nine years before making my first post in 2009. Does that make me nine years younger? Even though I missed those first nine years, I still rank reasonably well on the saints, but who cares? It means nothing.

As far as "rewards", the rewards I get from Perlmonks is the ability to help others, receive help when I'm in need, and the respect from the fellow Monks for being a hard-working member of the forum.
