Interesting,
I'm using Win7 Pro 64bit
Perl Binary build 1604 298023 from ActiveState
$IO::CaptureOutput::VERSION = 1.1104
$Win32::Console::VERSION = 0.10

I tried winxp
Perl 5_22_1
$IO 1.1104
$Win32 0.10

I also tried on 2 other computers with Strawberry Perl and both had the same issue
Strawberry 5_24_1 with the packages the same versions

Tried it on my ASUS Netbook Win 7 and I get the same result as you. That's with 5.14 activestate. poj	[reply]
