I'd be willing and available to make an appearance on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001 ;D (given more assurance, and turnout, and details...),
and hopefully, I'll make the silicon valley perl mongers meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 8-2, 2001
A few questions though, what's going to go on? how much $$? food?(allowed and/or $$?)

Well blakem,
As someone who will be checking out the Linux Showcase, I would love to try and make a PerlMonks BoF!

BOFs are always free. If you'd like to schedule one, just let
+ me
know! Certainly, all are welcome to the BOFs, regardless of how much
+or
how little they've paid.
So, now its just a matter of actually picking a day.... The intersection of the BoF days with the free tech-session days is 'Thursday, Friday' I have one no-vote for Friday, along with a general feeling that for some, a Friday night might be too precious to spend on a pm gathering. So, at this moment Thursday evening November 8th is the most probable date. I'll wait a week or so before I make it official.

The marriott site has a map of the area as well.
The BoF is in the "California" room, which is on the third
floor of the hotel.
