if i recall it was possible to cache templates generated by Template Toolkit speeding it up a lot, or I'm wrong?

You’re correct anyway. :P TX is something like 100x faster than TT (though it depends on environment and what the templates do, etc, and TT on Alloy is quite a bit faster than plain TT, just don’t remember how much) https://github.com/xslate/xslate.github.com/blob/master/img/benchmark_rich_env.png	[reply]
