For more CGI.pm alternatives, see the threads CGI Parameters and UP-TO-DATE Comparison of CGI Alternatives. If, as your title might imply, all you want to do is parse a URL for the query parameters, see URI::QueryParam. Note that none of these modules are in the core, including CGI.pm as of Perl v5.22 (two years ago).	[reply]

To the best of my knowledge, no. See CGI::Alternatives. My recomendation would be to start with Mojolicious::Lite, see also http://mojolicious.org/perldoc and http://mojolicious.org/perldoc/Mojolicious/Guides/Tutorial.	[reply]

CGI is no longer part of the core, and I don’t think that any such module will ever replace it. There are lots(!) of application frameworks in the CPAN library which will allow you to construct a web-server in just a few lines. One that I saw being used to run a very large e-commerce site was CGI::Application. It handily put-to-shame the notion that “good ol’ CGI” can’t do heavy lifting. Unfortunately, your post is so terse that it really does not give any indication of what you have in mind to do.
