Please take the time to read How do I post a question effectively? and PerlMonks for the Absolute Beginner. Why not make life easier for yourself and just download Strawberry Perl, create a minicpan, transfer it to your network and use cpanm to install modules.

    Hi Marto, Thanks for the suggestion. For now we need to stick to ActivePerl due to corporate restrictions. You are right, I reviewed the posting tips which are very helpful. Ying
