how'd you install this manually?
A better option for this particular case would be to install by running:
cpan -T IO::Tty
The -T switch ensures that the tests are not run.
Not sure if that was an option back in 2010.
To install manually:
1) Download http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/T/TO/TODDR/IO-Tty-1.12.tar.gz (or http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/T/TO/TODDR/IO-Tty-1.13_01.tar.gz if you want to install the development version).
2) Run tar zxvf IO-Tty-1.12.tar.gz
3) cd to the IO-Tty-1.12 folder
4) Run perl Makefile.PL
5) Run make test
6) Run make install
You can skip step 5 (not recommended) - which is what azredwing did, as that process was hanging.
Cheers, Rob
