ehome has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I have always loved Perl, but I really don't know much about it. (I did work in IT for years -- now semi-retired) My question is simple. I don't like seeing the "Press any key to continue...." message. How do I suppress it?

I'm guessing from your question that you are running on a MS Windows OS.

The "Press Any Key" is usually from a "pause" statement in a bat file. It has nothing to do with perl.

Take a look at the comments in Active State Perl -> Command Prompt Window.

Most likely, you are looking for the "wperl" option.
