According to general understanding the Shoah is different from the genocides that happened before and since mankind exists. Because of it's industrial organization. There is the terrible German word "Schreibtischtäter" for the people that organized the mass murder like a regular logistic job - like "Just In Time" for example. With the typical german bureaucratic correctness and efficiency. They managed it businesslike: Analysis, accurate planning, milestones, reports etc. That makes the difference.

Please see also Stolperstein. There are so many in my hometown.

    Best regards, Karl
