Hi all, I was wondering if anyone out there knows about a good access log analyzer that I could use on my server. Any suggestions will be great. Thanks

shortly after reading this thread i was following a link to randal's columns when i ran across <a href=http://web.stonehenge.com/merlyn/WebTechniques/col48.html </href>this. a little more extensive than what you asked for, but you may be interested.

If you're looking for pre-packaged software, Google is always helpful.

If you want to roll your own, take a look at Logfile.

This same question was made some days ago in slashdot in this thread. I personaly use analog, wich is terribly fast and feature full, altough hard to configure. You may also like it's open source rival, webalizer

Sorry I felt the need to downvote this, but it's not necessarily a perl related question. That being said, I'll answer anyway ;)

I recommend that you look at either Analog or Webalizer. Analog is blazingly fast and handles gargantuan log files in almost no time. Webalizer, I thought, was easier to work with, and if someone who isn't a techie is looking at the results, Webalizer is definitely nicer.

    Hope this helps!
