in reply to New Perl Selenium ebook

Just for curiosity:

Your book could be be tipping point for me to join kindle unlimited for a month (your book in EUR 8.50, unlimited is 9.99, there are a few other unlimited titles I would be interested in).

But I don't use the kindle-app to read kindle-content, but I strip the drm (it's probably illegal, I know) and convert kindles to epub.

So if I got your book via unlimited but did not use the kindle-app to read it (so no statistics available to Amazon): Would you see a penny for it?

Probably not. https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G201541130 claims that authors get paid only when "unlimited" books are read for the first time, and then authors are paid by page count. So unless your process is recognised as "reading" by Amazon, it would not fit into Amazon's eligibility for royalties.
