    My very selfish look on life:

    • Whatever it is that you're doing, it must at least on average be fun to do.
    • Whatever it is that you're doing, assume it is only to learn from it yourself.
    • If anybody benefits from what you're doing, that's bonus.

    If you're in open source for anything else, I think you're setting yourself up for a huge disappointment.
