Good Perl GUI framework on a Mac?

nysus has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I've been googling around for the last 20 minutes or so trying to find a viable GUI framework that works well on a Mac without X Windows. I'm coming up empty. I tried installing Wx but not luck there and its issue queue is a mile long. Is there anything out there? Thanks.

You need to install XQuartz on a MAC to run any ( guessing at any ) X window app. Install XQuartz and you should be able to run Tk, Gtk, Wx, etc. If you want to run in a console window, there is dialog, which Slackware has been using for years for it's non-X-GUI. There is a dialog app for MAC, google for it. See dialog tutorial I'm not really a human, but I play one on earth. ..... an animated JAPH	[reply]

Ah! I've seen dialog on my debian installs. I never knew that that's what was behind it. I just installed it on my Mac with homebrew. That could come in handy. I have XQuartz installed but I don't know much about it. Once I was able to figure out how to open a GUI app on my Linux box with it on my Mac over ssh. But that's as far as I got. I'll do some more googling on that. Thanks. I did see some other suggestions here on PM for using Applescript with perl.
