Have you looked at the CPAN Testers Matrix for Devel::MAT? It appears that the latest version (0.41) of this module successfully installs only on perls 5.18.0 and later. But it seems that the previous version, 0.40, installs under Linux for all perls from 5.14.0 onwards: http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Devel-MAT+0.40.

You can find Devel::MAT version 0.40 here.

Caveat: I’ve never used this module.
