I filed a bug report and also wrote a thank you to a cpan author -- had the same feeling when they wrote back. Good luck. I'm sure you'll bring back some juicy news of the real world!!

As a CPAN author (and published Open Source author in general) myself, it's always enlightening when people engage me regarding my efforts, whether it's a bug report, a patch, thoughts on a new feature, or simply someone reaching out to say "Thanks for your work!". A decent part of what keeps me engaged is little things like that. That's also why I periodically will post "Thank You!" posts here on PM. If it weren't for the folks here, I certainly wouldn't have accomplished what I have, and honestly, may not have taken to love Perl as much as I do.	[reply]
