Has anyone experienced the following issue when code singing a macOS application bundle whose main executable has been created with pp?

The code signing process seems not to accept executables created with pp (error: main executable failed strict validation) which is quite a problem for the Mac world. Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
