Personally the first one that popped into my head on seeing the style was, "Sounds like someone who has done way too much Lisp." :-)

That's one reason. I use `' ;# '` as the pattern for time-stamps which works for lisp, perl and shell, eg: `#!/usr/local/bin/perl -w ;# 14:44 07May01 permute.pl` [download] p	[reply] [d/l] [select]
