WintersMystic has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
ok, a friend of mine wants me to figure out a problem for him. he is using a pre coded FM script he bought, therefore has persmision to modify change it, but the directory part of the script is fairly, simple and not very safe imo. so i am trying to figure out exactly how to work this. the way it is if any modifcations are made it brings up every usr path and dir for every account on his webserver, which is NOT cool.
so what is the best way to go about getting the directories for say, /home/usr/www/users/me ? if i dont modify the current way, no matter what, if you change the dir you inevitably create a new dir, or go behind /home/usr/www/users/me and into files and dir he doesnt want accessed.
im sorry for being long winded, but i wanted to cover every possible obscure part of my problem.
