The lwp cookbook doc http://www.linpro.no/lwp/libwww-perl/lwpcook.pod has a generic http client that allows one to assemble a post url and collect the returned html for later perusal.

You also might want to check out Web Client Programming with Perl. It's out of print, but O'Reilly has made it available for free in its entirety via the O'Reilly Open Books Project. Specifically, chapters 5 and 6 deal with the LWP module. Cheers! Brent	[reply]
