Since noone else has mentioned it I would like to commend textpad to the audience if you are coding in windows (i use vim in unix).

It is sleek, easy to configure and a pleasure to code with. I know that sounds stupid but it is efficient and feels good to use. I love it...in fact its the only shareware I ever payed for (after I used it for years without paying my guilt finally got the better of me and since i loved it so much i felt i could not pay for no longer).
