Hi,
this sounds like The Real Way To Do It^tm! It is good to have a common identifier in the title so that your (cool and lisp-expandable) windowmanager can match the title against a regular expression and do some special features to the perlmonks surfing window, or that your time- and focustracking application can find out what your doing right now. Of course there are hundreds of other uses in a user customizable setting that the original developers never thought of and that 83% of all users can't imagine at all :)
