I knew there were several Perl Monks XML feeds available (See this node.) but I only just discovered there is an RDF feed available from here.

This is much better for me as I already have an XSL stylesheet to purtify RSS/RDF. The trouble is it it does not parse correctly as it contains an extra and unneeded set of <RDF></RDF> tags. Could someone fix this please?

    Thanks for bringing my attention to the fact that we even have an RDF feed. I can't say that I can fix the error, I don't even know for sure that is in an error. To be honest, I don't even know what an RDF feed is. :0

    I do know the power of Perl however!. Try this on for size:

    use strict; use LWP::Simple; my $content = get('http://perlmonks.org/headlines.rdf') or die; $content =~ s/<\/?RDF>//g; print $content;
    It might be a possible work-around for you in the meantime.

    UPDATE:
    RDF definition

    jeffa

    L-LL-L--L-LL-L--L-LL-L--
    -R--R-RR-R--R-RR-R--R-RR
    F--F--F--F--F--F--F--F--
    (the triplet paradiddle)

      That's exactly what I did do. However I thought I'd mention it in case a broken feed gave the monastery bad feng shui or something.

    uhh that should be

    an extra and unneeded set of <RDF></RDF> tags.
    of course.

    Update: and this node has the list of XML feeds not latika's home node. And btw, why can't I edit the parent node directly. I wrote it, I should be able to change it right?
