My first crack at some perl poetry, a really short one. 
sub it {print join chr(47),qw(
  screaming
    sky
)};
BEFORE:{it} NOW:{"nothing" cmp it}

    I think Pynchon would like the concise yet poignant translation. It's very true to the style of his writing for being interpreted into code.
